I was going to write a full article about the loan system but, eh, I think we could use a break from the criticism. So I’ll keep it quick on loans.
People—not only footballers!— thrive on clear expectations and communication. So we should be breaking down our loans into four or five different categories before any players go out. For example, Academy w/ modest prospects, academy trying to regain elite prospect status, academy prospects on their first loan, first team players who do not fit plans, etc.
Loans should never be thought of as solutions, but steps we take to provide pathways to those player’s next permanent contract, in Tottenham colors or not. And players should be told in plain terms what category the club views them before they leave for that loan. Let them see the logic. They’d probably appreciate it.
Players like Cameron Carter-Vickers perpetually going on loan into their mid-20s is egregious. Players like Kyle Walker-Peters and Japhet Tanganga sitting on the bench into their mid-20s, stagnating, is egregious. Having 33% of your senior players, players that were targeted in the transfer market, on loan is egregious. The loan system is dicey enough without the club using it as a large blanket to cover up the mess underneath. And, once again, anything that negatively affects the club at large probably affects the youth players a bit more, footballers or not.
Decided to keep this one quick due to this being the last week and all the coaching and DoF news. Happy to discuss more in these comments. Or not. Lmk.
No disrespect to those articles, they are really good I would love to have a analysis of ange and direction of the club from a fellow spurs fan in a dirscreet way ...sort of Blunt analysis ( I don't know if Any of it makes sense )
TL;DR : a cerebal analysis instead of the tactical side of things.

No thoughts on ange appointment yet???
Haha. I have thoughts but there are so many articles coming out about Big Ange, his career, his methods, that I'd rather be reading them!
I think I'll put something out later in the summer as we do our business. Let's see if it aligns.
